Management students carried the day at the foundation day events of GGU.

On 15 th of January, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidayalaya celebrated its second anniversary of becoming A central University as Foundation Day.Various events were held on this occasion like sports ,cultural activities and model exhibition contests.2nd edition of student magazine "UDAAN" was also inaugurated on this occasion Students of Department of Management Studies participated enthusiastically in almost all of these events regardless of limited time available for preparation after the semester break.
In sports events The Cricket team of DMS finished as runners up in the final held.The team lost in a neck to neck fight which stretched til the last over of the match.The team put a daunting target of 102 runs target to the team from CSE&IT department of Engineering.Batsmen Sudip Chakarborty (IV SEM) and Rahul Thote(II SEM) made 36 runs each.In a close struggle the team lost.The team defeated team from Biotech department in semifinals and team from B.ED department in league match,respectively.Rahul Kashyap(IV SEM) got 5 wickets (a hatrick included) in the league match and  thus received a round of applause from the audience.
In Athletics too the students secures all three top positions in race.Sushma and Ravi Singh were the position holders.
In Table Tennis Binoy babu cleared initial rounds.Students also participated in Basket ball,Volley Ball,Rassa khich and slow cycling.
In cultural events too students participated enthusiastically.
In model exhibition contest 7 teams from department presented their models based on Attrition Management,Traffic Management,Business Model of Shopping Mall,Management principles taught by Movies,Corporate social responsibility etc.Results of contest are awaited.Students participate were Shaheen Bhabha,Rahul Kashyap,Rahul Shekdar,Chandrakant Kashyap,Anika Puri,Sukhdev Sharma ,Bhupendra singh,Kushal Saluja,Shobhana Jha ,Anandan Lakshmi,Sunita Mishra,Deepa Sahu, and others.
In the nutshell huge participation by Management students in the Foundation Day showed their multifaceted talent.
